Momo from Avatar: The Last Airbender. Don't really know why I made him, but he's fun to play with. He is about 3 inches high, sitting like this and fully posable.
I forgot the fluffy stuff in his ears. That, and his mouth...

Hey, um, I'm wanting to try needle felting, but am not completely experienced in the process. XD
Would you mind giving me a little pointer on how to get more complex shapes? (i.e. Momo's hands and tail)

Hey there! and welcome to the wonderful fuzzy world of needlefelting!
I make fingers by pulling a bit of wool(merino roving, typically), twisting it, and folding it in half. I hold the folded wool between my thumb and index finger and then starting at the fold, very carefully poke my way down the bit of wool (it helps to turn the wool as you poke around.) Dangerous but I really enjoy making hands!
Momo's tail (or my other monkeys or, indeed, lil Loki's arms and legs

This is awesome! Do you use wire to make it posable? I'm just getting into needle felting, but I'd like to try posable animals, etc.

Yes! I think that bendy felted friends are tons of fun - I try to make anything and everything as posable as possible!
I used plain old pipe cleaners for Momo's skeleton, but you can use any wire that you like! Welcome to the hobby and happy felting!

The fingers are pretty easy. I just came up with my own way of making them - I'm sure that there is a more efficient method out there because I usually have a few extra fingers that didn't turn out quite right. I just take a length of wool, fold it in half, and start felting at the fold and then slowly work my way up the finger. I end up with a sort of weird tassel shape where the lose ends become the palm. Gosh, that doesn't make any sense at all.
