A slightly redesigned Tarius (new name pending!! Would love help renaming since I'm always bad at names, but maybe I'll figure it out one day lol)

He is Azipha's sweet and beloved older brother at 35, and is a top journalist in Alexei's crew! He was born both deaf and mute, and, despite his planetary laws not allowing children under the age of 16 to get body mods, he never let that stand in the way of pursuing his interest in journalism and photography.

His two recorders (aptly named Spunk and Moxie ) were built by his father a little after he turned 12 when they discovered he could summon a rune! As... small and basic as it might have been lol
His level of anima is at the lower end of the spectrum, so really it's more a form of telekinesis and not of manifestation, but he uses it to control them and catch video, take pictures-- sorta like drones!
Just like his anima, they don't have unlimited use time, so they connect together at the wing tips to form an () and slide into a charging port in his backpack c:

After he was allowed to get body mods to have a voice and hear, they decided to sync Spunk and Moxie to the mods, letting him hear and speak through them-- very helpful at long distances!
If signal is bad, long antennae sprout from the mod on his ears for better communication and range.

Even though he's been able to speak and hear for many years now, he finds himself comforted by and more familiar with continuing to use sign language for a preferred method of communication, and the rest of the crew has gladly been accommodating by learning and using it around him as much as they can ♡
