I think The Sixth Sense happened on accident. I also think that about The Lady in the Water but for exactly the opposite reasons.

What did you think of his other films?
I personally love Unbreakable more and more each time I see it. Signs was...enjoyable and well made but did nothing to truly blow me away. The Village was...meh, which is a shame considering the wonderful caliber of actors he had to work with. The core concept was intriguing as well...it just didn't...click with me in the end.

The ending of the Village was disappointing at its best. I could use some rather insulting words, but I'll stay my tongue. After that it all went to doodoo.

Yea, who knows what is really going on.
If you showed someone The Sixth Sense and The Happening back to back there is no way they would think they were directed by the same person.
