Oh, well, hey there, Heather.Goodness I still dislike her... but she keeps growing on me. And I fear we're at that point where I almost like her.
Well, anyways. Here's a sketch I did last night which will hopefully be part of a... "bigger" "piece"? I don't know. I'm hoping to add Astrid in there. That's the plan. And then ink it and color it. As long as Heather turned out good, though, I thought I'd post her so I know what it looked like before I destroyed my paper with eraser marks. :3
And thanks to PoseManiacs.com for helping me out. Granted that took away the HTTYD style and made her look older, but still. Better than if I didn't have reference! Pose used (( [link] ))

She's set to come back in season 2 with her own dragon, Spout, actually. I'm curious as to what kind it'll be. The name makes me think it'll be a tidal class of some kind. Or maybe they'll give her a Timberjack.

Yeah I know. I'm not sure if that tidbit was something the animators let "leak" so they could keep it a surprise or what. I like Windshear, but I admit I was hope they were gonna introduce a new tidal class so I'm a little bummed. Still neat though.

No, no. I didn't really expect her come back with something that big. I like the Razorwhip, but it seemed like a bit much. I mean even it's tears are poisonous.

Meh. It's just a sketch. I can't afford a sketch book, and since art is not an intended career of mine, I'd rather save that money for "more important" things. I also just find it easier to sketch in a notebook rather than on random sheets of computer paper. If I end up finishing the piece and putting Astrid in, it will be inked onto computer paper. (:
