Description
The Roman God of Travelers, Thieves, Shepherds, Luck and Roads. Messenger of the Roman Pantheon, Greeks call him "Hermes".

His name was possibly related to the Latin Words "Merx" (Merchandise), "Mercari" (Trade), and "Merces" (Wages). Another possible connection to his Name is that Proto-Indo-European root merg for "Boundary, Border" from the Old Latin Translated Words, "Mearc" of Old English, "Mark" of Old Norse, and "Margo" of Old Latin, for he was known as the "Keeper of Boundaries", refering to his own role as bridge between upper and lower worlds.

Mercury did seem to rather absorb a handful of Minor Roman Deities called the "Dea Lucrii" (which was a group collection of Minor Gods of Profit) for he did not first appear among in the "Numinous Di Indigetes". Needless to say, He (along with his Greek Equivalent, Hermes were already that popular in Rome).

In Roman Mythos, he was considered to be the Son of Maia and Jupiter, but in other accounts say that he was a Son of Caelus and Dies. In his earlist forms, he was once said to be related to the Etruscan Deity (Turms) since both gods have similar characteristics to Hermes.

Like Hermes, he was considered to be a Guide to the Dead but his own stories are very strinkgly similar to Hermes, just only in common with the Roman Name.

Like Hermes, he is very well much of a Trickster, only then he's more egocentric and confident with a much clever and misechevious personality that he can take up his own pranks to mock other people since he can Mimic anyone's voice. He takes his own Job as a Messenger very proudly for he is rather more boastful and can act a little narcissistic around others meaning that he truly hates his Job being a Messenger, only the one Job that he does enjoy is being a Guide to the Dead in Pluto's Realm of the Underworld.

In his youthful years, he was at first a curious child but after trying out some pranks with Phoebus and Bacchus when they were kids, he grown to became much more Mischevious as Mercury has a fun habbit of tricking people outside of his side of being a Roman Messenger since he often takes his own job as a Mailman very-well behave and actually doesn't tend to screw his own job up but he hates when others try to mess up his work.

The one other time when he took up his own pranks too far is that while he tricked the One-Hundred Eye Giant (Argus) into being tied by a rope around his own leg, Spongeus and Patcarus had the opportuinity to save the Sea Princess (Io) but when Mercury noticed the Two Heroes, he was instantly about to attack them but ended up tied in the knot thanks to Argus who served his own revenge back. Empress Juno punished the Hundred-Eye Giant into having all of his own Eyes in her own Pet Peacock.

The first time of his own tricks of what Mercury did was to try to lure Phoebeus' Cattle up in the Mountain but when Phoebeus found out that his own cattle went missing, he got mad at Mercury and try to punish him but Mercury already went to fast as when Phoebus finally got a chance to punish him by turning his head into a Goat for one single week.

Sometimes, he would usually go out with Jupiter to see on what was happening around in the Mortal Realam as one time when Mercury and Jupiter met up with an Elderly Fish couple, they were sworn to flood down their entire village but luckily the village was saved by Spongeus who begged Jupiter not to flood an entire city as he suggested the Roman Chief God to have them a second change. Knowing that the Elder Couple that they found would lose their home, Jupiter instantly changes his own mind by not flooding the Couple's city as Mercury did show the Elder Fish Pairing their own new home near Jupiter's new temple for Jupiter allow the Kind Couple to take care of his other temple for as long as both would die as Trees.

He's very much well-pleased with King Neptune though sometimes his pranks around Him and the other Roman Gods are usually light-hearted. He pretty much can't stand SpongeBob or Patrick since they outsmarted his own tricks but he would also like to mock Mr. Krabs which would get Krabs angry at Mercury.
