This image has a whole pile of things spewing out of it that mean a lot to me personally. Sometimes we can become something we are not truly…
We become something we despise, something ugly, cruel and nasty…
Our outside shell can be taken over along with the inside…
This image is about breaking free, going through change and refreshing ones self.
Sometimes I feel like I need to heal myself, edit and work on *who I am*
Sometimes we look at our reflection and don’t like what we see…
But for this image it’s not something physical like when we see our reflection and despise it or wish to change it…
Her empty shell laying below her is battle scared and full of hate yet her new beautiful clean and maybe –
ure- self is not necessary more beautiful.. just more alive, confident and almost intimidating. This image was a makeover of something I drew years ago… *see it here [link] *
I loved the idea and wanted to refresh it because I’ve always felt the image and its messages where very unique and special to me.
Drawn with watercolour pencils *no added water*
AGAIN the red and oranges blended in the wings DID not turn out great… the whole scan of this looks kinda shitty!!
Black ink for hair and lead pencils.
Also outlined with fine liners.

this probably should be mature content... i just dont like how my last image that was mature content seems to vanish from my gallery when friends try find it...

I've never seen a metamorphosis piece quite like this, a bit more morbid than usual, but just as beautiful. I love how the new person is beautiful and the husk is...well...ugly...decaying...dead...very symbolic.
