My newest costume, Blue Morpho Butterfly Fairy! The wings are my Colleen style fairy wings ([link] ) with a Blue Morpho Butterfly pattern painted on them.

The skirt is a 6 paneled skirt that I hand painted to look like a Blue Morpho Butterfly. The inspiration for this skirt is *heavily* drawn from the fashions of Luly Yang and her amazing Monarch Butterly dress. More work is planned for the skirt in the future, but this was a good jumping off spot!

The bodice a Pirate Bodice from Moresca!

UPDATE: I hope to have new photos of this outfit in a week or so. I've since added a blue and black petticoat underneath which gives it some body. Also added is a shorter over skirt which is made from the same painted panels.
