Thank you Sara..I really like this one too and it never got much attention.. I saw it as kind of a whole different take on the fables Abyss, like maybe looking into The Abyss might not be so bad, so long as there are pretty glowy firebugs floating up.

I could definately point you in the direction of some tutorials. Personally, I haven't learned much from those. Sooo, if you are intersted in seeing some parameter files, I could send them to you and you could see how the fractal is made. That's what worked best for me. I'll send the parameters for one of my earlier works and see if it helps. Let me know what you think. And of course, if you have any questions about how something is done, just ask!

I love this! It is just beautiful! Makes me think of bright little faeries in a cave or grotto! (sorry, you probably don't want to know what it looks like to others!)

I really enjoy seeing people interpret my fractals. It's fascinating what people come up with. I usually have an some sort of idea of what I am trying to create, but my conceptualizations are often metaphorically (and cryptically) presented within the forms on the image. A fractal is the ultimate inkblot test, as all the image really represents, in and of itself, is the underlying mathematics. There are some fractal artists (whom I greatly admire) that are extremely good at making fractal analogs of real world objects. But in my art, I try to avoid close approximations because I want you to be able to add your own meaning to it through your observation. And when you share it, the meaning grows for me too. I'll give you an example. My piece 'Goblin' [link] was inspired by an illustrated childrens story called 'The Rainbow Goblins', by Ul Del Rico. It's an amazing little book and the art in it is incredible. If you get a chance look it up, then you can see what I was trying to do, but if anybody else saw the link, they didn't tell me. What they did see, and tell me , was their own story. And so often, when someone shares their interpretation of an abstract piece with you, it's like a window into their soul. And more often then not, those souls are beautiful. That what I was thinking about when I made 'Elysium'. So hey, thanks!!!

Oh good, I'm so glad you aren't annoyed! Some people don't really like to hear what others see in their art! I also love hearing what people think when they see my fractals. I know what I see, but like you say, it's really interesting to hear what others see when they look at them. And it gives small clues as to who they are! I like that!
