So a new Heavy Gear video game was announced being on the works. The fact that the entire world is not joined together in song right now is all the proof you need our species is not fit to live.My excuse for rushed job this time around is a headache that struck when I was supposed to start cleaning the image up.
(the blood splatters are just supposed to be decals aping my Armored Core 5 paint job)

Being a huge fan of Heavy Gear Blitz!, I am hopeful that it will turn out well. Dream Pod 9 has every reason to be excited... ever since Activision cut things off. Mechwarrior 3 was released prior to schedule in order to cut Heavy Gear 2 off, so it received far less attention than it deserved, despite being highly rated by dozens of critics. So, with this new one, I'm hoping they will continue the legacy of fine entertainment. I just pray to have a new computer that'll handle the game by then.
Also, jehu-chan, I would be very interested in requesting you to do some more of this... seeing as how I'm probably going to ask to borrow this picture for a story I am writing.

are you not worried that the developers will only focus on multiplayer, seeing what happened in acv, mechwarrior and hawken, it's almost as if they're aimed for the cod/ battlefield fanboys.

Certainly. I'm also worried they don't understand how Gears are supposed to work and we end up with another Heavy Gear 1, or that they just make a plain shitty game. But I want to hold on to some hope, here. For now, before reality comes crashing down on me, I want to savor the simple idea that a new Heavy Gear is on the way.

Stompy Bot has never made anything before, but are claiming to have some big names tucked away on staff. They did have a contract or license to make a MechWarrior arena-style combat game based on Solaris VII, but lost it. They also had whatever the latest Unreal engine is, but I don't know if they still do or not.
