Few colored sketches of OTP from my Post-TLK headcanon/AU ;w;
I drew them before ( separately ), but never write a lot...

Before you read it, please remember my English really really sucks ;w;;;; I tried my best...

The lioness is Malkia ( TLK: Mal ) but totally prefer to call her just 'Mal'. She's from pride which is places near the Pridelands. Her mother is the Empress, who tyrannical lead her land and also she's younger sister of Zira and half-sister of Scar - in my headcanon Scar and Zira are half-siblings, but Mufasa is not related to them, Scar was adopted by Mufasa's parents.
Remember Zira's song 'Lions over all' from The Lion Guard? Yeee, Mal's mother has really similar thinking, but insted 'lions', she'd sing 'lionesses'. In her pride lionesses rule, they're bigger, stronger and healthier, they care for each other ( in different ways than 'normal') and males are used to hunting, patroling borders and giving strong genes, if they good at their job, their life is almost bearable. The Empress don't want to make the same mistkes as her siblings did, she wants to rule the Pridelands - the biggest kingdom in the Africa and she'll do everything to achieve her goal.
Since cubhood Mal was educated to be a cold blood killer, the strongest and the braviest fighter. Her physical features were an advantage, she is as big as a male lion and because of her training she is even (usually) stronger than them.
The future King Reth - this golden mane boy - had a plan to invite young member/s from neighbour prides to join his land for some time - the Pridelands want to have as many alliances as possible, so they want to create strong bongs with neighbours. Mal's pride was also invited, so her mother gave her and her two male 'friends' order to accept invitation and visit the precious kingdom, but of course not to make the alliance...

1. Mal is really pissed of, being in the Pridelands is torture. Why lionesses have to hunt for males?! It makes no sense for her. The lions also are a protectors? They look so weak for her and their barely visible muscles was truly disgusting. BUT the worst of everything is the ‘most precious, amazing, charming’ princey… ok, maybe he isn’t the worst, HIS MATE IS. Reth actually is fascinated with Mal, the rules of her pride are sth new for him. He really wants to have a good terms with her, so he try his best to keep a conversation…but he faild. The lioness is really annoyed by so talkative Reth, she prefer silance and not having a strange male as a company, but the prince doesn’t give up.

2.After few days of being in the Pridelands, Mal slowly started to adapt… it means she stopped staying in the cave almost whole day and saying ‘fuck of’ to everyone ( except royal family). After all, her mother’s plan must be done, so she has to more socialize with others, escpecially with Reth and his family. She sees he’s kinda interested in her ( she hasn’t known in which way) so she’ll have to take advantage of it. She started to talk with him more and be more polite than she wants to to be. Reth hasn’t known about Mal’s intentions so ‘he took the bait’.
Mal doesn’t know ‘good touch’, everytime when somebody touched her it was only a pain. Nobody was allowed to even put a paw on her paw or arm or nowhere. Unfortunately, Reth didn’t know about that, so when he tried to only comfort her, she was furious. ( he just put a paw on her paw... : ((( )

3. It’s been few months since Mal has come to the Pridelands. She started do see how long she lived in her mother’s lies about life, males, friends, love… Reth wasn’t ‘annoying prince’ for her anymore, he became her friend or even more. Mal’s mother ‘majormo’ sometimes controled the lioness. He collected information from her and reminded her of the purpose of her stay. She didn’t want to kill anymore, especially lions who was so nice for her, how could she? She cried a lot, she wasn’t used to do it, her mother never allowed her to has such a ‘weak feelings’. Reth was near her and hear Mal’s sobbing. He wasn’t scared of her reactions this time, she needed to calm down, so he hugged her. She couldn’t have secrets anymore, so she told him everything – about her mother and her plan. Mal was scared that Reth will tell his father about all of this and she and her friends will be exciled, but she was even more scared of mother, who will kill her if she come back to her home land. Instead of screaming, calling her a monster, Reth just started to comfort her, he understood her situation and trust her. He fell for her, he couldn't do otherwise.
