“Figured i’d find you here.”
Shark stood on the shore, a melancholy smile appearing. The wind softly swayed her mane.
“Aye…I just needed a break.” Morgan's eyes were fixed on the ocean, watching the waves crash into the shore.
Shark moved slowly sitting beside the stallion. She paused, looking out to the dark clouds.
“Looks like there's a storm coming.” She tried to speak in a cheerful tone, hoping to lighten the mood, but it was no use.
“Aye.”
Shark finally looked up to his face, tears already in his eyes. He pinned his ears against his head as he slowly leaned back. He let out a half laugh as he looked down at Shark.
“It’s no big deal..” she could hear the hurt in his voice.
“It’s not your fault, you were a kid.”
Morgan looked down at his scars, feeling the burning sensation in his eyes once more.
“Had I just stopped me and Don from getting on that box maybe..” his hot tears fell from his face as he looked back out to the ocean, then his scars. Shark gently leaned up against him, wrapping one wing on his back.
She uttered a soft response.
“You are amazing Morgan, perfect in every way.”
Morgan let out a soft chuckle.
“Aye.”
