Description
It was a usual day out, and you had gone to the bookstore as you normally did every week. Your loyal butler Sebastian had accompanied you, but you had ordered him to pick out gifts for the other servants. There was no special event, but you thought it was the least you could do for all the hard work they did. They had been with you and watching over you since the day you lost your father to an illness. You had lost your mother when you little and could barely remember her so your father worked hard to make sure he filled the void. You loved him dearly, so when you lost him you felt empty and that was when Sebastian came in and offered his services, and he's been your butler ever since.

You looked around for a good book to buy and was coming up empty handed. You don't know how long you'd been walking around the store and just when you were about to grab any, you saw a book from your favorite author that you had not read yet on the top shelf. Smiling you went to grab it, but to your annoyance you were to short. You stood on your toes trying to reach it, but just couldn't do so.

"Reaching for this my lady?" A voice asked from behind as a hand grabbed the book you were currently trying to reach. You turned around and saw a male standing behind you. His face was emotionless with pale skin, golden eyes, and a pair of glasses. He wore butler attire and in a way reminded you of Sebastian.

  "Oh. Yes, thank you." You said quickly taking the book from him.

"You are quite welcome my lady. My name is Claude Faustus at your services." He said bowing his head.

"I-I'm (Y/n) (L/n). It's a pleasure." You said doing a small curtsy. When you looked up you thought you saw him lick his lips. He looked at you with his golden eyes and it seemed as if they were looking deep into your soul. A predator. That's what he reminded you of. You started to feel a bit uneasy. Something didn't feel right about him. "W-Well I should get going." You said turning around to leave.

"Wait my lady." Claude said grabbing your hand, stopping you. You turned to look at him starting to grow more nervous. Hopefully Sebastian would get here soon.

"Let me go please. I really should get going."

"I know. I must come off as rude but I only ask for a couple of minutes."

"I believe my young mistress has asked for you to let her go." An all too familiar voice said. Though it sounded calm, a trace of anger was clearly evident.

"Sebastian." You said looking up at him, a wave of relief washing over you. Sebastian was now standing in between you and Claude with his hand gripping Claude's wrist tightly as he smiled at the other butler. Though Sebastian was smiling and Claude remained emotionless, their eyes reflected hate and anger toward each other. They stayed like that for a moment as if having an unspoken conversation before Claude released your hand. You quickly placed your hand on your chest and cradled it with the other which still held the book.

"Well then young mistress we should get going. You still have much to do." Sebastian said turning his attention back to you. Not giving you a chance to say anything he ushered you out the front door, dropping money on the counter, paying for the book, all while ignoring the pair of eyes watching you leave.

The journey back home was silent and if there happened to be a small conversation, nothing of what occurred in the bookstore was brought up. You didn't mind though, you didn't feel like talking about it, not yet at least.

Once you arrived, the gifts to the servants were distributed and least to say they were thrilled. It was something not expected and they were grateful. You felt glad seeing a smile on each of their faces. They deserved much more for their help but for now it will do.

The day went by quickly and you had done a great number of work alongside assignments that Sebastian had given you as your tutor. It was troubling but you managed to do it. You noticed however how different Sebastian acted. Ever since you both left the store he had become rather serious and refused to say much.

"Um Sebastian?" You asked as he brushed your hair.

"Yes young mistress?"

"That butler from the book store... do you know him?" At hearing your question Sebastian momentarily stopped, before he continued to run the brush through your (h/c) hair.

"Now why would you assume such a thing?" He asked.

"It's just that it seemed as if you knew each other. And from what I was able to see neither one of you got along. There was quite a sense of hatred in the air."

"He was hurting you my young mistress. Anyone who disrespects you or harms you is an enemy of mine."

"I understand that but-"

"I apologize for cutting you off my lady, but it's quite late. You should rest now for tomorrow is a busy day." He said placing the brush down on the dresser. You frowned but nonetheless complied. Getting up from the chair you made it to the bed and laid down. Sebastian was soon by your bedside and placed the blanket over you. "That butler is a demon isn't he?" Sebastian said nothing and continued to make sure you were comfortable. Well then, it seemed as if he left you no choice. "Sebastian. I order you to tell me the truth." He nodded.

"He is."

"So you do know him."

"I've had clashes with him in the past while I served one of my previous masters. I cannot say that they were pleasant, because they were not. He is the hell here on Earth." Sebastian told you.

"Is he... is he planning on taking my soul well?" You asked feeling yourself getting worried.

"I won't allow it." Sebastian said, though it sounded more like a snarl. Then, at realizing what he'd done he apologized.

"I'm not scared of you Sebastian." You weren't sure why you told him that but you just felt like it was something that needed to be said.

"And you are scared of Claude?" At this you slowly nodded. He closed his eyes shaking his head from side to side. "You humans, I just do not understand at all." He sighed before looking back at you, a smile on his lips. "As I said, you have a busy day tomorrow. And for Claude, you worry not. He will not harm you in any way. If I allowed it then what kind of a butler would I be?" You smiled and nodded.

"Goodnight Sebastian." You told him turning to your side.

"Goodnight, my young mistress." He said placing a hand on his heart as he bowed his head. It did not take you long to fall asleep you allowed yourself to be pulled into the world of sleep.

Sebastian looked at your sleeping form as the moonlight illuminated you giving you a heavenly glow. A smirk gracing his lips. How ironic. You had sold your soul to a demon and even so you continued to keep looking like an angel. How is it that after everything you could remain so pure? Not to mention that even though he himself was a demon you did not fear him and yet you feared Claude. Trust must be the reason why. Sebastian had spent quite some time with you already and you had grown used to him. Even so, at the end of the day he would be the one to devour your soul. You should fear Sebastian more; however he was glad to see that you still put your faith in him. The butler moved to the side of your bed and stroked your cheek.

"All the more reason to keep you away from that spider demon." He said as he leaned down so that both your noses were touching. "You are mine and mine alone, and no one is taking you away from me." You moved a little but otherwise remained in the same position. Sebastian chuckled and breathed in your sweet scent. He sighed in content as his eyes shined fuchsia, his fangs appearing. Your soul was going to be a delicious one indeed. "Until that day my young mistress." He kissed your forehead gently. "Until that day, you are mine."
