Never saw this place before today but it's magic and will remain unnamed because it's largely untrod and I want it to stay that way! Ledge trails in the Maine wilderness are cut into the moss, and traffic makes dirt and mud of it in no time. The moss here is able to recoup year to year -- it was still growing, because not totally trampled. I haven't seen this in Maine since the 1980's! Since my favorite spots got "discovered." Far too positive a term. Anyway, today was truly ecstatic for me. Good to be here. Good to be alive to see this.
