Happy New Year! I went to bed at 19:30 and got up at 2:30 to ring in the new year with a mind like crystal, doing my favorite things -- penning florid prose, composing/recording music, and after five hours of that went out for point/shoot at dawn and found nature had renewed everything with a perfect layer of snow. I was thinking if a miracle like this could transform my little town maybe the whole world could be renewed this year.

But when I got home I found all the pretty photos were blurred, leaving me only with the grimmest...
