My friend Yesod was actually the one who made the Thanatos. I don't exactly remember the exact details, since this was years ago that we cosplayed these.

In short:
a) What she did was order a snare drum harness and attached something like the shelf bars that you would hang a closet pole on. She wore the harness backwards.

b) There is pvc pipe in the shape of a half circle with screws that protrude out where the coffins need to hang. This PVC pipe is screwed into the harness where the closet pole would go on the shelf bars. The coffins themselves have a keyhole type opening in the back of each of the coffins. The coffins are hung on the screws protruding from the PVC pipe. This way, they hang freely and can swing and be removed. The whole setup can be taken apart, which we needed to be able to do so we can travel with it in a normal vehicle.

c) Yesod's mask is shaded from wonderflex and covered in the thick craft foam. Cut/glued to shape and it attached via velcro that is on the spandex covering she wears over her head and face.

If you could ask this person the process? That would be extremly helpful in the production of my friend's Thanatos. Reason why he's being this Persona is because I am being Elizabeth lol.

And Wonderflex! That was the material I was thinking we use for the mask! Since we need it for another cosplay (Waka from the game Okami for his headpiece). How easy is it to use?

Well, that was essentially the process. We made the costumes together in our living room. And this was several years ago, and we didn't exactly document her costume progression. If you have specific questions, those parts would be easier to explain.

As for wonderflex, it is pretty easy to work with. You can melt it into shape via hairdryer or hot water, but I suggest a heat gun when using it (to speed up the process). But even for Thanatos' mask, it was more just cutting it to shape.

Yeah, we made these constumes. Much to the interest of the neighborhood children. (Who came out to watch things we had to cut/build/paint outdoors. Thanatos's coffins are held up by a backpiece, and the coffins are hooked on so they swing freely. The coffins themselves aren't that heavy as they are made from foam.
