Morty dreaming he's walking next to Rick, he keeps side-eying Rick, not sure whether to ask where they're going yet, but Rick never turns his head. A subconscious representation, symbolic in how he’s always watching Rick, but feels his Grandfather doesn't REALLY return the affection. He’s focused on him, as usual and Rick just doesn’t look back at him, because that’s how Morty perceives their relationship.
