Concept Sketch for Justin's war time armor set. I wanted to test it out before I finalized it see what you all think.I had his helmet done years ago but as I spent time thinking about it the rest came together!
I went with the bird of Arisdale theme which is seen on several pictures. One day I will have that emblem up. The birds of Arisdale are yellow with two long red tail feathers and has been the symbol for the Arisdale Royal line for many thousands of years.
Green and gold color to fit Justin's earth elemental power which is represented by the color green.

Thank you! I don't know where it all came from the helmet i designed in 2001 but the chest piece just came to be one day and I just tried to make the rest fit it! XD

Thanks! Armor design is so hard! XD I got the idea for the breastplate then made the rest to fit around that. I may add some decoration to it in the digital.

The green is VERY striking, it would be quite intimidating to see a 7 foot raptor King with that on charge at you! And with Earth powers to throw salt on the wound!

The green looks great and if it symbolizes his power then the enemy knows to fear him! How often does war or battle come about for Arisdale? They are among the more powerful kingdoms correct? ohh... Spoiler alert correct?

But yes Arisdale has been a superpower for thousands of years. In that time only one battle occurred and that was a hundreds of years before the book starts.

It's true! If you aren't ready to defend yourself or prove your strength then you are subject to attack and perhaps destruction! I hope Arisdale still has a large standing army despite its almost 2 century peace.

Arisdale has always been a kingdom of might and strength. They take pride in being warriors despite the lack of things to fight.
Yes a militia for the most part. The royal guard and their immediate platoons are always active around the castle and village.

Justin has an aristocratic accent. He speaks slowly and flares his words "artistically", as Agar likes to say, for emphasis.

Do the books speak of or travel to other kingdoms often? It seems Arisdale is the main setting for at least a while.
An Aristocratic accent? Better give that a look.... don't think I have heard much of that but I want to imagine Justin in the perfect voice for when I read.

Oh those are goooodd... sounds like a cool narrator or a fancy documentary. Honestly I think I can imagine a broader voice and flared as you say for Justin!

I believe it does, I can really imagine Justin speaking like that, now I just need to find a good Nessrean voice... I was thinking more laid back and cocky but still respectful in a way to Mr. Arisdale.

They will love my sculptures too and I plan to do 3d models of all the characters one day. I need to repair Justin first! I was thinking of building his new armor in 3D. That could take a month to do XD I have other things to finish first!

Do you have any comparison to the Egyptalian vernacular? You don't need to go in depth but I am curious.

Not at this time they aren't too different from the other cultures though. If I find one Ill pass it on.

It depends. by hand sometimes a couple weeks. The one of ridley took 5 months to get that far, with breaks I didn't do it everyday all day.
Maybe a month or two for a new one now and days.
3D one of Justin took a month.
I plan to. Will make drawing it easier!
I wanted to do mods for skyrim but my version of blender doesn't work with it. DARN! Or I would put Justin's armor im skyrim for you!

I have some ideas so Ill see what I can find, but most the time what people think they hear is close to what I hear!
I was planning a group figure all in one. I am not sure how long a figure like that wold take me now XD
Maybe less time once I get used to it.
I would love to make them moldable but that is a process!
Break..they can if your not careful. Of course shipping is a whole other problem.The real craft comes into building them so they are less likely too. Although the clay I use is weaker then a cold cast figure. Casting is expensive and messy =/

3D Justin is a great reference! All angles, whole outfit and it just looks cool in 3D I bet.
