Description
After Spider-Gwen had stumbled upon the female Doctor Octavius while the latter was entering this dreamscape, a fight ensued. Octavius’ mechanical arms charged at the spider-themed heroine, but Gwen nimbly dodged and hurdled her way through the flurry of metallic arms.
“I’m going to crush you like the little arachnid you were based on!” Liv Octavius threatened as she continued in her vain attempts to strike Spider-Gwen with her octopus arms.
“Finally, someone didn’t mess that one up!” Spider-Gwen quipped as she continued to dodge Octavius’ mechanical arms. “Although you kind of sound like a cartoon villain with all this ‘I must kill you’ talk.”
“You really think your mindless jibber-jabber will distract a mind of my intellect? What a cretin!”
While this battle raged on, a green-colored vortex suddenly formed overhead and swallowed Liv Octavius up once it had made landfall. Although the gales from this whirlwind were strong, Spider-Gwen used her spider-powers to cling to the rocky floor that was below her. Gwen clung to her dear life as the localized storm raged.
However, the whirlwind started to dissipate just as suddenly as it had appeared. As Spider-Gwen did not need to exert her strength anymore to keep herself adhered to the ground, she slowly stood up from her crouching position. The swirling, green winds were dispersing, revealing a mostly unharmed Doctor Octavius. Even though this villainess looked unharmed from the small tornado, Gwen noticed something was immediately up. Something had changed.
Octavius’ body had become more geometric, mainly being comprised of spheres and cylinders. Her high-tech armor had been simplified to such as point where much of the detail looked as if it were painted onto her costume. Her arms had become just as thin as twigs, while her hands now wore white, cartoonish gloves that only had four fingers. Her four mechanical arms were also affected. Just like the rest of her design, these arms were simplified and had the same cartoon gloves that Liv wore, but larger.
For a few moments, the now cartoonified Octavius stumbled about because she had been spun around by the vortex. Once she had regained her senses, she refocused her attention back at the spider-themed heroine.
“Where was I?” Liv Octavius mused for a moment before her last train of thought returned to her. “Oh, yes! You’ll never stop my dastardly plan, Spider-Girl! Manhattan will be sky-high before you can even think of doing anything!”
“Ugh, it’s Spider-Woman. Or Ghost-Spider!” Spider-Gwen corrected the cartoonish Octavius.
“Whatever,” Octavius scoffed at Spider-Gwen before continuing. “My vast intellect dwarves your feeble mind. And since this is a no dumb person zone, you’ll just have to leave.”
One of her gloved tentacles suddenly rushed forward at Gwen, who easily dodged out of the way. However, since Gwen was still in midair, she had become an easier target for a second tentacle to hit. With its white glove, the second tentacle slammed into Gwen’s stomach. On impact, the strike made a cartoonish sound effect. This blow then sent Gwen flying into the starry abyss below. However, with her quick spider-reflexes, she was able to shoot a web line and tether onto the bottom of the rock platform. She then slowly climbed up her spider-web.
“I normally would have said that was the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen,” Spider-Gwen monologued to herself, “but I have been forced to gain 600 plus pounds, warped into an inflatable dancer, and turned into a big-boobed drider! This place is freaking weird!”
