This is really nice! loving the realism, but it would be nice to see more going on up there like in the Barontieri version.

Um... credit the artist who actually designed it. Sparth *cough cough*

Great pic! Reminds me of scenes from games like Final Fantasy 7, Septerra Core, and others. The design has been done really well here.

I would have to agree!! It looks awesome and makes me miss the Myst games!!
Something like this would be a great location for a Myst movie
I wonder why there are no more games like the Myst series anymore.
Either way GREAT work!!

They still make puzzle games but mostly what the big companies are going for nowadays are what THEY think is popular which is more action and flashy effects rather than a drawn out story and a good stable background story for the characters. We still see some decent ones on occasion and even some where we can developer our own characters story like in the Elder Scroll games and many MMORPG's but there are many good goods that'll never have the sequel they truely deserve. :/

I played,
Myst
Riven
Path of the shell
Exile
And I missed out on the last 2 of the Myst series.
But I just haven't seen anything that was as good.
There was a game in the middle of the Myst series and I forget the name.
But you got to see the avatar or man you controlled running around the game.
All of the Myst series games were awesome, even though I sucked at them, they
were a great deal of fun to play.

There were quite a few games that I really wanted to check out but it's been so long that they no longer make them. The games would be so old that there'd likely wouldn't be any computers capable of running them anyway; At least not fully. I have Septerra Core and I can't even get that to run properly regardless what I do.

Very cool. So, is that curved red thing off the tower a communications dish, or a gun turret? Or something else?

this image so reminds me of Riven. Anyone that didn't play that as a kid just can't understand the impact it had. Myst and Riven changed me as a person. The same as algebra did. Opened up worlds of thought and imagination. The artist the the height of human evolution.

Yes, this so much. Both what you said 'bout this reminding you and how those games freaking change you.
My life hasn't been the same since I discovered those games. And my life changed again when I beat each one, I thought I'd never manage it. x'D

I kept journals of clues I found around the islands, because back then there was no google. Might like URU. www.urulive.com It's free. It was the last release of Myst with all the expansions.

Heheh, I did that until I got stuck anyways. Then I found the most awesome thing - not a walkthrough, but a hints system! I could get unstuck without ruining the whole game. x3
