Is it odd that i think that the grounded Zubat is quite cute, even though it has no eyes?

Wow! This is awesome. Do you plan on continuing this series.
I'd love to see some of the more dangerous Pokemon like Charizard or Tyranitar.
Coudl you do Dusknoir or any other ghost pokemon?

Thank you thank you! I plan keeping this series going until the day I die...or at least for quite a long time. My productivity has waned over the last couple of months only because my current project is "tricky" to say the least, and as I'm on summer break from a really intense art program...I'm finding it difficult to make art when I know I'm going to have to go back to it in a month. Hopefully though, I'll have it done by the end of summer.
I've done a few of the more predatory monsters (e.g. aerodactyl ([link] ), scyther ([link] ), even sceptile ([link] ) I view as a sort of raptor-like forest hunter). Charizard, Tyranitar, and Dusknoir will all happen eventually I'm sure, but that's not up to me---it's up to my fans. See, before I post each piece, I post preview images of a zoomed in part of my current project, and the first person to guess it's identity correctly gets to choose the subject of a future. So, keep an eye out for those!
Also...don't tell anyone...but I already have my next few projects lined up, and one of them is a ghost type.

I like the eyeless skull, really brings home Zubat's unique feature. Its fur shading and texture looks pretty convincing too.

It's a good thing this particular zubat is trained not to bite strangers. Having venom coursing through one's circulatory system is an unpleasant sensation, from my experience.

LOL! I have a Zubat named Twister in my Pokemon Pearl. I spoil him way too much!

Zubat! She is finito!
Now it can be seen in all its freakishly blue and purple glory!!!!
That's a pretty brown venomoth down there.

No venomoth. It's just a moth (but if it were any pokΓ©mon, it would be a mothim. Remember, there are three moths now)

I like its fur, kind of a steely blue (or purple, I dunno) rather than just the plain blue (or purple) it has in the games etc.

As a mammal, I was reticent to make its fur color too saturated (blue was already an odd enough color, but gray is not unheard of, so I just made it as gray as I could without completely desaturating it).
Either way, I'm glad you like it.
