So...I am still alive...haven't done much drawing or painting in the last few years (these days, my "art" tends to take the form of video and/or culinary...YouTube link above...go ahead and give us a look, or at least a subscribe, if you want to show your support).

As many of you probably know, The Pokémon Company held a contest earlier this year to design art for a potential Pokémon card in an upcoming set.

The theme was: "The Daily Life of Pokémon" (or something akin to that).

Entrants were able to choose from 8 Pokémon: Arcanine, Bulbasaur, Charizard, Cramorant, Greninja, Pikachu, Galarian Rapidash, and Scizor.

Entrants were allowed 3 entries.

This is one of mine—what I would consider the second strongest of the three. Even though the contest went on for several months, I only found out about it in it's final ~3 weeks or so...so I had to rush a little bit more than I would have liked.

Anyway, none of my stuff won, or even made it past the first round of judging, and that's okay, I didn't really expect it to...but now that the contest is officially over, I feel comfortable posting them (the rules explicitly forbade it before the end of the contest period, and even now...I think it might have said something about ownership in there even after, but hey...when was the last time I posted anything? COME AND TAKE ME, GAMEFREAK! I'M NOT AFRAID OF YOU!).

This particular piece was meant to better represent my usual style for drawing Pokémon; I couldn't imagine it would be for what they were looking, but how often does one have the chance to get their stuff in front of the eyes of people actually affiliated with TPC? In any case, please bear in mind it is meant to be viewed at "card art" size, so...at full resolution, there will be some inconsistencies (and, again, I was in a rush)

Anyway...keep an eye out for my third (and strongest) entry in the coming days and/or weeks, as well as a handful of other, non-Pokémon-related stuff too (Animorphs) in the not-too-distant future...

Plus, thanks to all of you, my deviantART is now at over 50,000 views, so...might maybe need to start thinking about Zapdos or something... <_<
