Hey there. We don’t usually invite outsiders to come run around our forests, but we have a big problem on our hands, so listen up. We’re not sure what’s going on, but the plants and animals in our forests have been going crazy.

The vegetation has become unnaturally prolific, growing to monstrous sizes and at incredible speed. Some have even started to up and move on their own, or worse, attacking people or destroying towns. Think moving roots, giant man-eating flowers, stuff like that. We pride ourselves on the variety of exotic plants we have here in Titania, but it’s not so nice when it starts going too wild.

A similar thing has been happening with the animals. The creatures of the forest have started getting a bit aggressive, and even some new, mutated monsters have shown up. Raging chimeras, giant insects… The deeper parts of the forests have always been a bit dangerous, but this is abnormal.

We get this feeling that there’s something sort of overflow of energy coming from deep within the forest that might be causing all this commotion, but it’s dangerous when the forest is so unstable. That’s why we’d like you to go in and check it out.

It’s likely that the further you go in, the more risky it’ll get, but also the closer you are to finding the cause. So you just gotta go in there and head as far as you can into extreme danger! Fun, right? But if you get hurt or something, you can go to the local towns to rest up if you need to, although we won’t be around once you’re too deep in the forest.

A Special Message from Empress Milani: I’ve been very impressed with the performance of the Mages Guild lately; you’ve really distinguished yourselves among the guilds! I am sure you all will be able to get to the bottom of the trouble that has been happening in Titania. For all of your excellent work so far, the officials of Neara have decided to provide you with our best transportation griffons to get you to your destination. They’re very well-trained, and should get you to where you need to go in no time! However, it’s unsafe to bring them into the forest, so you won’t be able to use them as you explore Titania.

Your task: Investigate the disturbance occurring in the forests of Titania that is causing the plants and wildlife to behave erratically. You may draw/write anything that could pertain to your character’s experience on this mission. This could be:

-The journey to Titania on one of the transport griffons
-Exploring the forests of Titania
-Battling a wild beast or rampant plantlife
-Resting up in one of the local towns
-Whatever else you think is relevant…

You are free to use your own creativity to envision what the Titania forest and its inhabitants look like.
