Princess Galaxia [Galaxy]- Galaxia is G1 Galaxy but with G1 Majesty's colour scheme. G1 Galaxy just has a really weird scheme and her coat is too similar to Firefly's.
Across the western seas, scraggly peaks and obsidian towers pierce through the ocean mist marking the beginnings of the Black Islands, over which Princess Galaxia holds dominion. Within the grand libraries of its capital city Empyrea, ancient and arcane secrets are sequestered away.

I haven't watched G1 and can't say I plan to.
That "Across the Western Seas" thing really part of the G1 canon?
I might look into G1's story if only for the fiction behind it all if so.

Kinda late to reply on this, but if FIM continues for long enough or MLP goes into the next generation, obviously a lot of bronies (maybe even some who got into writing/animation/character design because of the show) will be working for the show and contribute their own ideas. So it's really not that unlikely to see stuff like this on the small sceen someday.
