Description Funny, this one.

Movie Buffs will automatically recognize the mask.

So.. we have a Persian Mask.. with a Chinese folding Fan and a Tibetan peasant dagger.. all sitting on a Japanese place mat!

TALK about multicultural!

Originally I was going to post one of the shots without the fill light.. so it was all highlights and shadows on the mask... but then the 'crossed bones' of the quasi pirate theme quickly faded into nothingness...

Maybe I'll do another shot with the mask and maybe some more blades.. just to show highlights... 'shiny shiny in the dark' kinda stuff...

Maybe.

I haven't played with a 300 yet... but they seem to have a bunch of features not in the 200. Seeing as I always shoot on manual anyway and do whatever editing after on the computer I don't 'miss' most fo them. My old 8800 Nikon did have some of the 'toys' in it, however.. and things like D-lighting in the camera is very handy to see if you can 'save' a bad shot before you go home.

Still.. I like to think that the less there is to a camera - digital as well - the less there is to go wrong!

200 or 300.. you'll enjoy either tremendously!

I want the D3 for my next body! I have some old film lenses.. sooo.... THAT is the way for me!

Well thank you!

Part of me wanted to clutter things up a lot more.. and part of me wanted to keep things as simple as possible... simplicity should most often win in such conflicts!

I might post the alternate candidate for the shoot.. or I may just re-shoot it this eve with a couple of tantos... I just happen to know an ancient way of doing that image... I wonder how it might turn out with the steel I have to work with?

But again.. thank you. Any artist that enjoys the look of fine steel is a friend of mine!

( wait.. that sounded creepy... ) lol!

I totally agree with you about the simplicity!
Anyway, this one is beautiful and if you'll post other versions, i'll be glad to enjoy them

Oh...as for your last sentence, it sounds very creepy

See ya my friend!
