The first REAL PICTURE that wasn't a refference for one of my characters in a WHILE! :'DCommission for my lovely !
I am SO SORRY it took so long, hun. ;A;
I have no excuse to have taken this long. You have my deepest apologies! ;-;
The biggest inspiration for her coloration was my dog Smokey, surprisingly. :'D I had no idea he looked so much like Dark Nation!
I hope you love it! And please forgive me for my laziness! ;n;

When I looked at the original models, they did look like a panther to me.
But, in the other parts of the series, they had "Guard Hounds" as enemies, and Dark Nation is that species as far as we know.
And they looked canine. c:

I thought the description of Guard Hounds in the FFVII wiki said that they were a cross between a panther and a canine, which explains why so many people refer to DN as one or the other.

Oh yeah, Dark Nation... I vaguely remember in that fight, I killed DN easily and just fought Rufus for most of the battle. Or was it the other way around? I tend to forget Dark Nation because I thought it was just a guard dog he summoned...

I should have known. It's probably not even his "pet" dog, just a guard dog. But fanbases are crazy things, especially the kind that for the most part didn't play the original game.

I still love the Compilation. xD I personally have only played Crisis Core, but *ObstinateMelon and MUCH research, as well as speaking to those who HAVE played it before, helps fill in all the blanks.

*headdesk* Dark nation is a dog! >.> the models that they used for him were all from the 'hound' type. Sorry, Dark Nation is my pet peeve. NO ONE seems to realize he's not a cat. That 'tail' actually comes out the back of it's skull. Ahem.. Otherwise, it's adorable.

What could be cuter that a puppy exploring their feline side!!! I love how you have her little tail a wagging like crazy ther as she is trying to rip apart the attacking yarn balls.
It was worth the wait, hun! It turned out adorable! Such a mean and scary animal, brought down by a ball of string. It is perfect. Smug and amused!Rufus contemplating what he is going to do with her, is a lovely touch and Reno should be glad that she isn't chewing on him!
