Harsh, wincing, bright of day.All flaws lie visible to the eyes.
And here, we are wide open.
No place to hide.
Stark truth and reality.
I can't retreat to my mind,
The last dream is gone.
There is nowhere left to hide.
I can't wait anymore,
Time is running more quickly than I,
and I'm being left again,
Behind the vestigial sands.
And so the arid plains surround me,
And I am lost here,
In the bright, in the truth,
Without my shielding darkness.
And in facing my own torn illusions,
Granting credence to impossible fantasies,
Knowing they have no hope.
I wither in this harsh glare.
Languishing behind,
I give in to the inevitable.
Time to turn in a new direction.
Hope I'm not abandoned in this frigid light.
