Today I received in the mailA postcard from Heaven
This is what it said:
My Dearest Ashley,
Wish you were here.
You may think I am far away,
But I am really near.
The weather here is always great,
The sun shines every day,
There is never any rain.
The air is fresh and clean,
I can finally breathe.
The sky is always blue,
And I am always thinking of you.
I went fishing today,
Even ate my favorite treat.
Ran through a meadow,
In my bare feet.
Donβt you cry over me,
I am doing just fine.
Be brave my little angel,
Try to keep an open mind.
Remember the laughter,
Forget the pain.
Always remember,
That we will be together again.
I will send you sunshine,
To dry away your tears.
I will send you rain,
To wash away you fears.
I am not that far away,
I will always be near.
I will watch over you,
Each and every day.
Live life to its fullest,
Do not hesitate.
For if you do,
It could be too late.
No worries,
You will hear from me again.
When you receive from me,
Another postcard from Heaven.

oh boy.. that's a really beautiful heartfelt poem.. today's the 2nd year exactly that my grandpa passed away.. it brought back memories.. i know how you feel..
this part especially is very very beautifully written:
I am not that far away,
I will always be near.
I will watch over you,
Each and every day.
it takes a lot of talent to bring a tear to my eyes.. but you've managed.. great work (^__^) (i didn't mean that sarcastically btw)

Words can't really describe how the poem made me feel. It made me think of my mom who i have been missing lately and i just thought i would say that is great. I really liked it.
