It was actually more of a play on words... In some of the older games I played, whenever I actually managed to kill/defeat someone it was usually because they were cocky after having pretty much running me over...
So.. To examplify that, the kill message would read; "You were defeated by Arrogance"Β To perhaps teach them a small lesson

so elegant and delicate, i was imagining you like this, in a city filled with running tinies, and you didnt just stepped on em, you literally danced like in a deadly ballet, and after every graceful hop your shoes' tips landed with surgical precision on one or more tinies, reducing em at flat red stains, and this until the streets were dotted red and your toe nails looked like had ruby nail polish :3
