I've forever seen a psychiatrist, but I'm just now beginning weekly visits with a therapist. I'm supposed to talk. But I don't know how. So, if anything, I've decided to at least remove the "mask of politeness" that keeps me safe and be truthful to and about myself, no matter how ugly it might be. Only then can it be removed. At least that's what Shrink tells me; it remains to be seen.
