Description The map of Markos, on the world of Arkhas. Cartography is fun.

Heres a pronunciation guide, and a short bio about each nation.

NATIONS:

Jallar: (Juh-LAR) - Monarchy, ruled by Queen Eris, mostly human, temperate climate, similiar to Appalachian valleys. Jallarians are stubborn, but kind.

Du Weldar Sila: (Doo-Well-Dar-Sy-Lah) - Council, ruled by three representatives from Sirk, Du Weldar Fahn, and the countryside. Mostly Elven, though the Academy makes up a large minority. Temperate climate, grand forests with trees surpassing the Redwoods.

Orjovok: (OR-JO-Vock) - Despotism, ruled by the strongest chief of the clans, entirely Orcish, outsiders aren't welcome unless they wish to barter. Grasslands and hills dot the country.

Yarkon: (YAR-Kahn) - Empire, ruled by the Chancellor and his council, entirely human, Yarkonians display xenophobia towards other races. Boreal Forests in the south, tundra to the north, Yarkon is the most technically advanced nation of Markos, with steam punk like tech.

Tsarkon: (SAR-Kahn) - Part of the Yarkonian empire, recently colonized, it is unorganized, and pirates roam the isles of Tsarkon. Volcanic soil provides rich crop yield, temperate forests.

Awey: (Ah-Way) - Council, ruled by the three representatives from the three dragon cities, entirely dragon, not because of xenophobia, but geography; Awey is populated by floating mountains only accessible through flight.

Larkolos: (LAR-Ko-LoS) - Empire, ruled by Emperor Kalos, humans dominate the center, dwarves to the east, a few Orcs to the south and elves to the north. A few dragons live in the Dead Sands Desert and in Erest. Rainforests dominate the center and south, along with marshlands along the peninsula. Desert to the north and temperate forest to the north west.

Darvaths Spine: (Dar-Voth) - Monarchy, ruled by the Dwarven King. Mountains dominate the entire country, the largest mountains of Markos.

I think someone needs to actually take the time to teach you cartography one of these days... I guarantee you can do it!
And, I don't have a lot of stuff up yet, but, I'm always open <_<

I must confess, the map I need would not be much of a challenge at all.

I technically need two maps, one a redrawn map of an ancient mars, and another for a fantasy world I am creating.

teh fantasy world map is 99% complete.

its not exactly a sketch, the sketches were to large to scan so . . . I redrew it on the computer, one second.

Well, I'm not really sure what you're getting at when I'm offering advice on cartography and you say "What up" so I say "meh"

"Oi, it'd take too long to explain, its just a lengthy question and I ain't got time to talk aboot it."

Seriously, that is the most hipster answer I have ever heard in my entire fucking life. Eat a dick.

God, would both of you two get over yourselves? I'm looking inwards and watching two BOYS squabble over opinions on style. Not even going to lie, was coming here to troll one of you, but I'm giving both of you a piece of my mind.

GodOfIrony - I like your map style because it has a more realistic feel to it. Although the paths are winding and more fantasy themed than say, a normal map, it leaves a lot to the imagination. I also think you're rather full of yourself and one of those artists who thinks their talent doesn't need any help improving in you taking such offense to a generous offer to help. Chill the fuck out man.

LordVurtax - I like your maps because of the simplicity of them. They remind me of something I'd see in a toony universe. They lack the detail that GodOfIrony's has, but I think overall they're nice. Although I don't see anything wrong with offering to help on art, some people are just touchy about their projects. In the future, it'd be best if you hold off on offering your services unless the person has "Crit. welcomed" mentioned on their submission body.

God guys, get along already. You BOTH could use tips from each other, to be completely honest.

No, I seriously had no time to explain it at the moment. And I'm still much on a busy schedule as finals are in full swing and I have work to go to. I'd get back around to him when I have time.

The fundamentals of cartography are best explained in graphic tutorials anyway. And until you actually do one yourself, you don't have a right to judge. So do yourself a favor and shut your trap.It would've been rude/hipster cop out if I said it's too complex for him to understand, it's understanding the time I have available to say I'd get back to him later.

You can't say you weren't being rude. You are being quite rude, by saying that there are problems with the map and then proceeding to not say anything about it.

I don't really care to argue specifics, I was defending someone that doesn't deserve your assholery.

I said it's not bad for a first attempt, that's not insulting in the least bit, you took it that way because you're a judgemental fuckwad. Get over yourself and stop trying to be a white knight in situations that sure as hell never needed one God of Irony and I know each other already. So for the love of god, shut up.
