The Fonz and the Happy Days Gang is a Saturday morning cartoon produced by Hanna-Barbera for ABC from 1980 to 1982. It features the voices and likenesses of actors from the live-action sitcom Happy Days, as well as Mr. Cool, Fonzie's dog. Reportedly, this show was produced when Hanna-Barbera was unable to get the rights to create an animated version of the BBC series Doctor Who.
When Cupcake, a girl from the future, crash-lands her time machine near Fonzie, Richie and Ralph, they end up getting lost in time. The series chronicles their attempt to return to 1957. Most episodes dealt with historical situations that were made to help educate children.
Twenty-four episodes were produced: 13 in the first season, and 11 in the second. Because the Happy Days properties are owned by Paramount, no Warner DVD release of The Fonz and the Happy Days Gang is likely.
