Description
After the death of the second Godzilla (and revival of Junior), things went peacefully untill 1997; when fishing vessels were being attacked and sunk, their crews devoured, in the waters off the USA's East Coast; mostly in Florida, Jamaica and Hawaii. Unsure of what to blame, scientists like Dr. Niko Tatopolus (a nuclear physicist and biology minor) were quick to try and figure out what caused the destruction. Enormous claw marks in the hulls of the vessels all indicated it had claws, and fleeting sightings and blurry photographs seemed to indicate a creature about 300 feet tall.

The creature, dubbed "Godzilla" by the locals (despite all scientists saying that Godzilla was still in Japanese waters), came ashore and began traversing Manhattan; destroying surprisingly little for a kaiju. After outwitting the US military and causing them to destroy the Chrysler Tower in an effort to kill it, "Godzilla" returned to the seas, likely to rest. Nick and his friends Audrey, Animal and Craven, were all curious about how this "Godzilla" was made...

But, as they pondered, the U.S Military prepared for "Godzilla"'s retreat.

Three Ohio-class subs located and rushed torpedoes into "Godzilla"'s body, but the creature simply shrugged it off and tore the subs apart; coming ashore again the next day and marching it's way inland, tearing more buildings as collateral. Curious as to what it was doing, Nick and his friends decided to investigate the creature's destination; Madison Square Garden. The military once again assaulted "Godzilla" with weaponry, this time causing it to collapse in the streets; supposedly dead; the ground cracked as the earth swallowed it's "corpse".

Inside the Garden, Nick and Animal has gone one way, while Craven and Audrey the other. It didn't take long for Audrey to scream in terror as a human-sized creature burst through the door and gave chase to her and Craven. Nick and Animal soon found themselves face-to-face with another of the creatures; it was stocky, had a boxy head and looked to be around 7 feet tall.

And hungry.

They were forced to run for the other exit, and Nick called in to Higgs, the leader of the squadron Nick was associated with, desparately telling him that Madison Square Garden was overrun with infantile "Godzilla"s. Higgs complied, telling them they had 3 hours to escape before a bomb squad would level the Garden, taking the infantile terrors with it.

One, though, imprinted on Nick, and seemed to follow him like Audrey did. Animal's keen eyes spotted a trail of popcorn leading in the way they'd entered the garden; his popcorn must have dropped in a path.

Pointing it out, Nick followed the trail, the others trailing (whilst the "Baby Godzilla" devoured the kernels as they went); they all escaped in just under three hours, and the planes screamed by, dropping their payload and decimating the Garden.

The adult "Godzilla" emerged, smelling the charred remains of it's offspring, and roared in fury. Once more, it pursued Nick and company, but eventually the creature was dropped into the bay when Nick escaped over the Brooklyn Bridge.

The military deployed "Project Destroyer"; a new version of Serisawa's Oxygen Destroyer, to kill it. Screaming in pain, "Godzilla" surfaced and began melting in front of the world; his body slowly dying. With one final, dying roar, "Godzilla"'s lifeless body sunk into the bay, and the creature was dead, it's eyes staring into Nick's one last time...

Rejoicing struck the public, but Nick and his friends felt more pity for it; the creature's sorrowful, almost horrified glare had made Nick question if they did the right thing or not. The baby they'd adopted was to be killed by Audrey's brother, but Higgs was convinced by Nick to let it live.

Little did they know, the real Godzilla was hot on the heels of this...
