There's no denying that Godzilla is an iconic monster that has left an impact on Japanese audiences. Godzilla has had four fathers when it came to his birth. One was special effects director, Eiji Tsuburaya. The other was producer, Tomoyuki Tanaka. The third was director, Ishiro Honda. The fourth was the man who composed the music and created his roar, Akira Ifukube. Ifukube did many musical scores for Toho, such as Godzilla (1954), Rodan (1956), Mothra vs. Godzilla (1964), Invasion of Astro-Monster/Godzilla vs. Monster Zero (1965), War of the Gargantuas (1966), Destroy All Monsters (1968), Godzilla vs. Gigan (1972), Terror of Mechagodzilla (1975), Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah (1991), Godzilla vs. Mothra: The Battle for Earth (1992), Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II (1993) and his final composing credit, Godzilla vs. Destoroyah (1995). When composing the music for Godzilla's death scene in 1995, he stated in an interview that he felt like he was composing music for his own death.
