Name: Kiera

Age: 20

Abilities: Right hand – Shiyobu, spirit of death and destruction. Has the ability to drain life out of her enemies.
Left hand – Doyobu, spirit of life and restoration. Restores life, heals and regenerates her allies.

Skill: Katana appreciator

Story:

Kiera was born in a wealthy family as an only child. Since five years old she started receiving classes on how to properly use a katana by the best sword masters, since they lived in a time where wild beast were constantly attacking the outskirts of the cities and sometimes even making their way deeper inside. She lived in an enormous castle-like mansion with her mother, who was more interested in her social life, gambling and having fun with her friends rather than spending time with her only daughter. The maids were not allowed to interact with anyone who is on a higher social level than them, such was the law. Her father owned one fourth of the entire country of Sidia, and never seemed to have any time for his family. Kiera was constantly lonely and depressed, hugging the cold walls was the only warmth she ever felt.

When she was 12, she decided to change things and look for her father at work to tell him how she feels. Instead, without even recognizing her, he ordered for her to be kicked out of the building. With her soul crushed, she returned the next day and in a final act of seeking her father’s attention, she jumped off the building, 2,000 feet high. Cutting downwards through the air, she closed her eyes for her life to flash in front of her eyes. Nothingness. There was no life, she hadn’t lived a thing. As the tears rolled up her cheeks she felt lighter, weightless even. It felt like falling forever. Then she felt the cold embrace of her walls that came to be such a homey feeling for Kiera. Is it all a dream, she wondered. Fearfully opening her eyes to satisfy her curiosity she saw a stranger’s face, then another one, then she inhaled for a scream but stopped. She was flying. Flying in the cold embrace of two unearthly spirits whispering secrets to her she could not understand. As she looked down she saw her right hand growing black, engulfed by darkness, strangely, she felt nothing. As she looked over, her left hand was illuminating light brighter than anything she has ever seen before. - Shiyobu, whispered the spirit on her right side, - I bring death and despair to those you touch. - Doyobu, the one on her left, - I bring life and restoration to the ones you find worthy.

Her life has finally started, this is how it feels to be born, she felt. Kiera decided she has no home, no family, no purpose to return… no more. She quickly embraced her new self and head on forward with a new expression on her face, promising to never look back and keep on defying gravity.
