(click the download button for 4k resolution! Totally worth it to see the details)I've played enough Five Nights at Freddy's 4 that these guys don't scare me anymore! I got to night 5, but then Fredbear instantly got me.... and jeez I'm done.... nope, so much nope! The way he just stands there right in front of you in the hallway is the scariest thing about the game. So, these guys in the picture aren't so bad anymore, relatively
About the picture. This took 3 days in total. I started it on Saturday and did all of the posing..... but then before I got a chance to work on it more on Sunday, Scott uploaded that "Thank You" picture, and this project feel to the wayside. I really wanted to finish it, but I couldn't find the motivation. But I took yesterday off work to catch up on everything I needed to do, so I finally had some free time to work on it more. I did all of the lighting and smoky effects on the second day, and then rendered it while I slept (it took forever because of the high resolution, complicated models, and number of lights).
Oh ... about the lights... I have a record-breaking number of them in this one... exactly 50 lights in total! Can you spot all 50 of them? Each eye is 2 lights, and there are 2 lights on each face. Other lights are scattered about to help give the impression of illumination from the eyes. Then, there are 8 colored area/room lights. My poor computer had so much trouble with this scene lol.
To help get a feel for the lighting work, here's a picture with no scene lights... just 42 eye lights, and the red and blue smoke systems:
Once the picture was rendered, I spent the third day touching up the picture, doing a bit of lighting by hand, and drawing shadows with paint.net. Then, into Adobe Lightroom for the photo editing. The result is rather stunning, I if I do say so myself. I'm pretty happy with how this turned out, considering my lapse in motivation.
And, it was also interesting, because as I was posing them on Saturday, I couldn't help but think that most of the characters looked really happy. I wasn't going for that effect, so that's part of why I stopped. But, then, lo and behold.... Scott's picture has them all looking happy and friendly! So, it was perfect for me to continue with the happy look. Freddy still looks boss, and Plushtrap... well let's just say he's had enough "fun" for a while XD. I get him on the X every time, it's really easy. Poor thing. lol.
Oh, and in other news, I got the Nightmare Freddy model from Typhoon Cinema today to match the other three. Drat my timing!! Right after I render the picture with Spygineer's model! I actually went back into SFM and tried to use the new model, but honestly, Spygineer's looked a LOT better for what I was doing here, so I left well enough alone.
Now that this picture is done, I'll be able to get back to work on the "Thank You" SFM remake. I've got almost all of the models I need now, and should have no problem finishing up the picture
It's just going to take me a LONG time.

I think that the sfm nightmare models should have came out when the game was done and published, foxy's hook is on the right side chica's body is out of proportion, plush trap's head is a bit big, freddy looks weird, and bonnie has a bow tie and his stomach has a lighter color and is ripped. But this is still amazing and awesome!!! I love the coloring and lighting and how plushtrap is sitting in foxys hand it is so adorable the little nightmare minions look so cute!!!!!

Thanks for the "birthday critique"! I'm glad you like it, even with inaccurate models. They are what they are..... but it's exciting to work with people who are currently making good models. I'll probably do another picture like this when I have them all.

This Deviation is awesome! it's cute too i mean like Foxy is holding Plushtrap in one hand Bonnie holding a Freddy Baby and the Freddy Baby is shining this is very clear! Wow. Definitely some improvement there. I subscribed to all of those animatronics. Including the map for SFM...I couldn't find the damn kid's room. I am kind of disagreeing with Foxy's look though. The author did a great job but it does not look exactly like he should. The ears should be a little bigger and there is a hood over Foxy's eyes. If you know what I mean. It is amazing though. It needs a million stars. I love love it love it. Good luck on the project though. It seems like a lot of work to do. lol l

General impression: Nicely done, solid, above average quality poster.
Posing: No visible downfalls, each pose reflects each animatronic's personality.
Lighting: For some reason not all eyes are glowing, aside that it's good. Comparing to your other works, this one's has a background light, which is highly appreciated. Colours selected suit the overall theme and create evil impression despite their brightness.
Atmosphere: poster absolutely fits the whole FNAF theme. Animatronics seem harmless, but you can't get rid of the feeling it's a trap. Title only increases the feeling.
Originality: Highly unoriginal and uncreative. Not that it's a bad thing. A lot of posters suffer from it. Considering the main feature of this work is creating an impression, not something new, the move is certainly justified.
Suggestion: Use a proper watermark instead of that title, it somewhat ruins the thing.
Personal development: The last critique I did was highly negative. This time around it's absolutely positive. I'm glad that you're constantly improving your skills. Keep it up.

Wow, this is very interesting timing. You know that I think about that Springtrap picture and critique a lot? I think it's the worst picture I've ever done, and I've been thinking a lot recently about redoing it, now that I have more than 1 week of experience. So, it's really interesting to hear from you again.
Thanks for appreciating the improvements I've made over time... I've had a lot of help too. I agree 100% with everything you said. Totally fair critique, and yes the posing was not meant to be original whatsoever, more just a model showcase.
And 3 of the eyes don't light up because they aren't supposed to, that's just how the game is.
As for the suggestion, could you mind expanding on that? What would a proper watermark be, if not my name in the bottom corner? I personally hate using watermarks, but the number of people who steal my pictures has been astounding. It still doesn't stop people from cropping or photoshopping the name out, but I'm not about to do what some people do and plaster a watermark all across the center.

You think about it a lot, really? 15/102 think it's fair, lol. That's not couning horrible grammar, structure and spelling. By the way I just watched your entire gallery, and I think I can agree it's one of the worst things you've created. I've also read your drama stories, and I think I kinda know what's the problem is.
I've never understood why people appeal to FNAF so much. As you've noticed, I'm more of a TF, Warframe and so on kinda person. That's because each character in there has absolutely incredible personality and charisma. Animatronics, on the other hand, do not have nothing like this at all. But after thinking about it, I got it. The lack of informations stimulates creativity. People imagine features they'd like to see, and that makes them affected to the charactes. Even if people do not actually realise it. And by looking at other people's art they interact with other perceptions and thoughts, that's why community has grown so big.
Advanced Learner Oxford Dictionary definition of "art": the use of the imagination to express ideas or feelings, particularly in painting, drawing or sculpture.
And so here's finally the point that I'm leading towards. Your works lack creativity, imagination, originality. That's what holds you back. Think about what thoughts, ideas, emotions that you're gonna deliver to people. FNAF is just a way to do this, out of many. I think it's time for you to do deeper stuff. May be then you'll become a true Artist.
That aside, I'll try to make a proper watermark and contact you later. Because the point of "water" in "watermark" is that one are able to see through the mark, even though it covers a poster. Of course it won't stop advanced photoeditors, but...that's the way it is.

Well I think about it, especially recently. I think a lot about my journey this year, and that picture & critique was part of it for sure.
Yeah I know you're more into other things, as many people are. Thank goodness not everyone is into FNAF lol, else there wouldn't be anything made of other games. Yeah I love the TF2 characters for their personalities, and there are so many videos on youtube that just crack me up.
The only thing I can think about FNAF, is like you say... it fires the imagination. Scott created something with just enough story to get those creative juices flowing, and then we run with it. There is no wrong way to go about it really, but I prefer to stick a little more to the game and immediate fandom rather than getting too weird or original with it. But we'll see, since if the games are over, then I'm gonna keep doing my thing, whatever it is, and I'll be able to experiment even more.
I don't consider what I do as true art, however it does have a lot of artistic properties and value. Some more than others. FNAF does hold some serious emotion into the lore, but I'm really not into that stuff with killing and torment and whatnot, so I have to use the characters for my own emotions or other things. So, if you don't relate to those, then you won't get it. However, it's fun when I am able to make something truly canon.
I'm only interested in doing FNAF stuff, because that's all I really know about. I don't play video games or have experience with other genres, so I am inadequate to express emotion for them through SFM. Just FNAF. It seems to work for me and my followers, but I'm always trying to improve it. I doubt if I'll ever be a true artist, which is fine, because my satisfaction in life comes from other places. SFM is just a hobby, and it has turned into something quite bigger than I ever wanted.
I didn't mean for you to actually make a watermark, but if you want to make an example, then be my guest. I looked in your gallery for an example, but I didn't see anything. Lucky you to not have that problem, lol.

-I'm confused on the mini Freddies that everyone has... did I miss something in FNaF?
-How come Golden Bonnie (is that the animatronics name? It's golden, but has Bonnie ears, so...) is the only one that doesn't have glowing eyes?
I love the intricate designs on each "box of bolts". The rows of teeth, tears, the rustiness, and fingers... fantabulous
-For the background, you shouldn't make it that light if you really want a more sinister feeling emitting from this art
-Since the eyes are glowing, you should make the surrounding areas darker

Originality: 3/5. This is the lowest, because it seems like an idea that is very normal for a fandom like FNaF; to have the chara's bunched up together. Though you did make this stand out more with the extreme detail, but it's still the same as the others in my opinion.
Vision: Visuality is outstanding! Of course, there aren't any better arts out there compared to this (from my memory), but this isn't absolutely #1. There are a few things that don't exactly pop out in my opinion.
I know I'll get tons of unfairness, but if you read my other critiques you'd understand that giving a rating such as 4.5/5 is as high as one's hope can get.
Unlsss I love it. Like if it had anything related to my likes. A 5/5 is certain in one category.

As for this, this picture is for Five Nights at Freddy's 4. If you saw it, you'd understand all of the characters here.
And the lighting was done on purpose... the title is "not so scary", so that's why the bright lights and background. However, I did include the other picture in the description with NO extra lights or background, for a much more spooky look! lol

Personally, I don't add a lot of FNAF work to my favorites, but you've seriously outdone yourself with this, out of all the pieces I've seen from you!! The editing is really amazing, the posing looks so natural (even for animatronics) the background makes these guys stand out so dramatically, and DON'T even get me started on lights on the eyes, they're absolutely awesome! Even the little details with the grainy-like texture on the bigger animatronics (mostly noticeable on Foxy and Bonnie, to me) is what gives this a really fantastic feel to this. You made these animatronics look so much more lifelike than I've seen other artists do with theirs. Freaking excellent job, I don't think I have anything more to say about this!

Hey I've seen you before from the SFM group! I never expected to get noticed in a positive way over there.... it's really an uphill battle trying to do FNAF stuff because of the fanbase and the hate against it. Really, I try not to choose sides when it comes to stuff like this. In actuality, I find the FNAF-lore interesting, but I'm not 100% pro-FNAF, if that's the way to put it xD

Yeah I'm really "on the fence" with the whole FNAF thing. I personally left the official fandom at the third game. I haven't felt any hype or excitement since. The 4th game is fine, and the lore is still there, but eh I like the stuff regarding the first game the most. Now, I just do my own thing here, rather than following some crazy fandom.
