I just realized it is the 5th (soon to be the 6th) of March, and I still have not posted my February Black Book pencil—so here it is!

I'm getting very near the end of my Black Book (it's a sketch book I got back in 2001 which I have been filling with colored pencil drawings one a month, every month, on every page). In fact, this is the second-to-last drawing, so I decided to return to two of my oldest friends: Jeiko, and her trusty dragon, Karo. They've been with me since the very beginning of the Black Book project, portrayed progressively better and better as I improved.

Anyway, this picture is roughly based on an as-yet unwritten story in which Jeiko and Karo settle down on a tropical jungle island and have adventures with the local flora and fauna. Here they are, taking a quick joyride around their home.
