Goldenspring — Dance Skirt - Spinning

Description Wool blend (rayon I think) gored skirt. The trim around the bottom in silk cut on the bias.

This skirt was made for English country/contra dancing. I'm not crazy about it's look (a bit old fashioned) but it spins nicely and that was the prime concern.

That is very pretty when it spins! I think making the waistband narrower would go a long way toward making the skirt look less old-fashioned, but then, I have a predilection for narrow waistbands.

that's not a bad Idea, it makes it very long, with the high waistband. I have already put buttons/buttonholes into the waistband though so I'd have to really replace the waistband, not just cut it down.
