This is a nice deviation from the Wolf variant. The outlines here are set with utmost precision, like also the expression.

I would imagine a fox to be more lithe and lean, rather than muscular

Honestly, a wolf would be too. But that's just less terrifying than a wall of muscle and claws.

Mebbe it's just me, but something about the right arm is slightly off - looks vaguely like the upper arm is too short relative to the lower? Or.. it could just be late and I am tired...
The face is beautifully evocative however.
