Well, there's a reason why I don't sketch like this very often because.. it ain't easy to sketch like this damnit!! ahem...
but i definately like how this turned out to be, most of it is what I intended to have down on the paper in my head initially, just the only cock-ups is the gun and his hands, obviously they're out of proportions together... I mean, i hands are bigger than the gun and I don't even know what a gun looks like...
oh well, thank goodness for improvisationbut generally this is a thank you to who apparently now watches bt it's because she's an inspiration to my work, especially my Sonic Work since she works the pen/pencils alike work like a charm

This is outstanding artwork of one of the most popular characters here on dA. It was clearly drawn with detail and colored in perfectly. I myself love this picture for it's uniques style. Hopefully everyone else will understand this amazing peice of art that has been faved by many including myself for as long as it has been here. Shadow is such a great character and more people will learn to like him over time. Over the years I bet this piece will get plenty more favorites and plenty more comments so if you ever get the feeling to take it down. I think the pose is very well done, and can easily join in to the several bad-ass poses SEGA has already forced Shadow into vault. The fact the background only goes so far, and then leaves the hand off is a very 3D enhancing effect as well, and I like that most of all.
His spines, particularly the white makes it appear shiny, and I think that it was a very wise choice, because especially with characters like Shadow where they're all one color mostly and the background is a similar if not same, it wont look good. You managed to pull it off nicely and make it add to the pictures overall impact.

Okay I just HAVE to say that this is one of my favorite pictures of shadow. Ever. Every time I look through my pictures of Shadow, this one just pops up and stares me in the face with it's beautiful characterization and artistic stylization. Your personal preferences really show through in this piece and it makes it more memorable that way. You said that the Watercolour pencils you used weren't very good and, having used that brand before, I agree, but either way you did a fantastic job with them regardless.

Yea, an artisan should never blame their tools, as the saying goes. I drew that when I was just a teeny bopper so my attitude towards art have matured since then~
