I've always wanted to draw ~Syaming-Li 's Sonic character again for a while now. Must be all dat purple~ Unf!
Took only a day to cook this baby up. I think I'm getting the idea of how to SA style. I can't remember the places but the ink strokes and halftone grunge vectors used in the background were sourced from google *lazy*. Hope you like it Dean, sorry if he looks a bit pale lol. I threw in an overlay aqua to white gradient on top to make the colours more vivid~Tempest the Hedgehog belongs to

I love how original this hedgehog looks, it's rare to find that. Finally someone decided to actually experiment with a different style of quills instead of it being that of Shadow's ( or Sonic's ). Overall, I like his design, I love the coloration.
You also did such an amazing job on this, I bet the owner really liked it.

I'm not saying this in a bad way. Just as an idle observation. In that position his body kinda has a feminine look to it. Maybe it's just me XD But I like everything about this picture. It'd be a waste of time to go into detail since I just like it all. I like this character. He's cool. It'd be nice to see more pictures of him that are like this one.

Spot on. is very into his alternative punk shenanigans, so you can tell that it has been reflected onto his character. I've heard he's been labelled as the Sonic Rockstar xD lol

Now that I have some time on my hands, I shall now say what I was going to say:
This is fucking sick.
The first commendable thing you did was using Illustrator. To do anything. The second super-commendable thing is that you went for SA style, without mimicking Uekawa-san's style of Sonic art, so it's actually more interesting to look it. A massive thank you, man. I definitely do not deserve amazing fanart like this.

I guess at my work, Illustrator basically became second-nature to all of us working as designers so that justifies the fast turn-over time.
And yes THANK YOU. So glad you noticed. The main reason I love SA style is the way Yuji makes the colours pop with his unique rendering style and I figured Tempest was a perfect example in all his glorious purple-ness
It'd be bad on my side if I drew him as if Yuji drew it himself since it wouldn't seem right to just emulate the style.
