Description Okay, I honestly don't know what happened here. I mean, I was just sitting on the computer, minding my own business and trying to do some work when this image came into my mind. And I had to draw it.

This was kind of significant for me because it was the first time since... long ago... that I managed to actually sit down, draw something and then make a finished piece out of it. It felt good. I also realized how rusty I had become

This is a drawing of a bunch of Space Marines from the Dark Angels Chapter in action. The Dark Angels are, among other things, supposed to invoke an even stronger feel of monks/knights than your average Astartes. Hence the hooded robes and the more "knightly" power armor with a layer of chainmail underneath.
For a bit more fluff... The Dark Angels are kind of notorious dudes. Even though they fight for the Imperium of Man, they have been known to abandon missions, attack fellow Space Marines, disobey orders... and - supposedly - even murdering Inquisitors who tend to get too nosy and curious for their own good. That's because the Dark Angels are obsessed with chasing, capturing and torturing to death the so-called "Fallen" - their own brethren who turned traitor and started worshipping Chaos during the Horus Heresy. The problem is that the Dark Angels covered this whole thing up and now live in total secrecy, obsessed by the idea that they should cleanse the honor of their Chapter and that nobody should ever find out about the existence of the Fallen. So, they are not really... nice. But they're awesome

Like I said, the inspiration for this drawing came suddenly and I pretty much did it in one sitting. It's quite detailed - at least for me and my abilities - but I feel that this is probably the best 40k-themed drawing that I've ever done. So I'm pretty much happy with it.
