Recently I have been really sick of drawing the same old celebrities as everyone else on here so I went looking for stock photos on here. I saw tons of beautiful girls but most of them disgusted me because they were acting like total hookers in their photos. Then I brought up Dayna's page. She had a very unique look to her and she wasn't flaunting herself like a prostitute. I really liked her big, expressive eyes. So I chose to do a portrait of her. I haven't commented in a while, figured this would be a perfect place to start. I FRIKIN DIKIN LOVES IT! lol, especially the part where her hair is slightly over her face but you can still see beyond it. You did that really well. . .damn im jealous..

Wow, impressive. I like your style. It manages to be photorealistic yet illustrative all at once. This piece to me kind of has a bit of a vectorized feel, which I think is neat. You did a particularly fanstastic job on her hair and her shirt. Ooh, her shirt, the texture you acheived on that thing is mind blowing.

Thank you, although I am trying not just to reproduce a photo. I am trying to add my own artistic touch as well. Realism is good though, I was happy with this.

After viewing the original picture on here, I kind of regret my comment on the forum. It's a really good drawing as I've already mentioned, specially the cloth, really looks like fabric. I do however think you've made her look a tad more sexy than the original photo, she has a more innocent look. I am not sure what it is, been starring at your drawing for a while now. But anyway, it's really one of your best pieces to date. Keep up the great work Brian.

this is great brian! definately one of your best i think. The only areas i think you can imprive in is the chin and the contrast of her nose. I see that she has one wrinkle crease under her eye, making look like her skin is really stretched tight. adding a few more skin "flaws" might add to the realism. Nice work, especially the eye

Looks just like her. You always do a great job of catching the person in your work.
I like the softness that you get with the tortillions and kleenex. I have tried them (as well as a chamois), but just wind up with a smudged mess. I have to soften edges by slowly using harder pencils.
As always, I anxiously await your next deviation.

This looks VERY good for it being a pencil drawing. The shading and lighting are wonderful. VERY impressive!

Superb job. You softened up the cleavage a bit (which was my only problem with the WIPs). I think the hair is a bit flat - but it's still great.
The thing that stands out most, for me, is the shirt. The job you did on the fabric is masterful. You do a great job on faces (eyes especially), but I think you're milieu is inanimate objects. Your still lifes are the best on this entire site (that I've seen), and your ability to capture the reality of "mundane" objects is unparalleled.
You're quickly becoming one of my favourite artists.
