<3Ugh I hate the wings on this pic sooo much. They just wouldn't cooperate, and although I'm pretty happy with the rest of the picture, I'm almost certainly going to redo it at some point. Poor Sheton looks like he's got two surfboards taped to him DX

He looks magnificent, Phoenix! I've never had a fanart made of any of my characters before now so I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Really, I expected that if any of them were done, Sheton would be the last as he looks like such a dark character, unlike his personality.
You're as bad at being irritated by wing jobs as I am, so cut it out.^^ You could do the wings in the black & red form to make it blend better, or leave them off altogether. He doesn't have to have them. He's a 'two way' horse, so to speak.^^
I especially love the mane and eye, and where's his tail? Holding it high like he so often does, I guess?XD And where did you get the ocean waves idea from? I thought "Why didn't I think of that?!" when I first saw it. You might want to bring his right wing down from its perch on his neck though...^^
I thought when you said something about giftart, you meant Ginger's pic for your alphabet dogs. Surprised me, you little stinker.^^ *thinking 'you are little, right?'*XP

Yay! I feel like less of a fail now XD I'm really glad you like it, and I'm sorry again for the errors. Lol, the wing was supposed to be beside his withers, but it somehow ended up on his neck - I'll fix that at some point ^^
Lol yeah, I drew his tail held up in the typical Aracbian way on the initial sketch, but the wing blocked it out completely and I decided to leave it that way ^^
As for the ocean waves, I was completely lacking in muse for a background but I know he was inspired by the Black Stallion so I watched some clips and got real insipration from the scenes where the stallion runs through the waves

I wish the answering part of my brain was as fast as the questioning part, 'cause once again I realized where the waves came from shortly after I asked. Also goes to show how long it's been since I watched it. I take it, you've never seen that movie?
It's scary that the same time you come out with this, I was watching BBC's Blue Planet. Lots of waves.^^
I've forgotten to ask this the last few times, but was Faith based on or inspired by anybody, or did you make him up on the spot?

Lol nah I haven't seen the movie, although it looks really cool so I'm going to keep an eye out for it to watch ^^ I love horses and the cinematography was beautiful. Plus there's something really pure about the idea of a child bareback on a horse, it really moves me for some reason.
I'm not really sure to be honest. Faith's design was initially just a simple doodle but even though the drawing itself was pretty bad, I quickly realised just how much I liked the design and from that Faith's character just flowed really easily, almost like it was someone else who'd made him. I'm sure I've told you his "backstory" of sorts at some point?

Yeah, you know those kinds of movies that you watched as a very small child and though they may not be the most visually impressive now, they held something real special for you? Black Stallion is that for me. My friend Tangerine has the same thing with Sound of Music.^^
Someone over on YouTube named soulseek has the whole thing uploaded in good quality if you want to try that at some point.
Haha, that's about the same procedure Shetty's design went through. And at 6 or 7 years old starting out, my drawings were pretty bad too.^^
We exchanged story plots at one point, but I don't think you told me Faith's backstory.^^
