This is a pic of a tree that survived while in direct path of the explosion, even with burning cars underneath. They call this the "Tree of survival." A circular monument was built around the tree. On the inner ring it reads, "The Spirit of this City and this Nation will not be Defeated; Our Deeply Rooted Faith Will Sustain Us." Behind the tree stands an original building damaged by the blast.
