My favourite secret base location was that shrub on Route 120 near the pond and berry trees, so of course in Omega Ruby that's where I hunkered down. One night, I walked outside to see this. The night sky, galaxy and all, reflected in the water . Honestly it took my breath away. I grew up walking up and down this route in game, and too see it this beautiful really brought back some good memories and nostalgia. Also a strong desire to just surf and float there, watching the night sky.

I mean that last bit wont happen since pokemon aren't reAL but you get the picture.

Which is why I had to draw this. I don't draw backgrounds much or experiment with lighting, so this was really relaxing and fun to do. I'm particularly pleased with how the space/nebular turned out, as well as the reflection of the water/stars from the water onto the swampert.
