Kupuka . From the books "Saga of the Borderlands" - Book III: "Days of fire". Written by argentinean author Liliana Bodoc.
Kupuka is one of the wizards of the ground and he is made of dust, his skin is like a cracked pitcher. His hair and beard have become roots, he is like a dry branch. All the suffering of the Borderlands is reflected in his eyes, carrying the fate of an entire continent.

SAGA OF THE BORDERLANDS: This gripping fantasy narrates the clash of two worlds and cultures. Following a prophecy of their Holy Scriptures, the people of the »Fertile Lands« await the arrival of representatives of the »Ancient Lands«. Contrary to what they expected, however, these do not come with peaceful intentions but as conquerors who want to destroy anything foreign to them. The invaders, led by the »Son of Death«, threaten to be the victors in a terrible battle – had it not been for a warrior who sacrifices himself for the freedom of the »Fertile Lands«. The author creates settings, characters, and plots with a great deal of imagination and skill, so that the reader is inextricably drawn into this fictional world. Many allusions also make this a novel about the discovery and conquest of the Americas, told from the point of view – in real history – of the vanquished.

En esta entrada subo mi visión del mago Kupuka.
Kupuka es uno de los 6 brujos de la tierra, y uno de los personajes principales de la historia de Los Confines.
La imagen de Kupuka que presento se basa en el libro III de la saga ("Los días del Fuego"), y muestra la metamorfosis final del personaje.
Capaz de transformarse en cabra, su cuerpo se parece a la misma tierra, rajada como un cántaro reseco...
En sus ojos reposan todas las tristezas de las tierras fértiles y el silencio de su destino final, pero aún así se mantiene firme y sereno...
