*Decided to do a rework of this old fanart piece from late 2017, using a few different techniques I've learned since then.*

"Known as the "Great Sea Devourer" by the natives of the isle, this creature seems to resemble some sort of enhanced strain of Giganotosaurus. Upon first glance, it bares a vibrant color scheme, similar to that of a Collard Lizard. It's assumed the predator will use these colors as a way to ward off any contesting carnivores in the area. This genus is not only bigger, bulkier, and more aggressive in nature... it also shares an ability to open its mouth in a way that allows it to have an abnormally large bite, much larger than any species on the island, and allows the Hypo Giga to digest greater quantities of its meal.
The tropical morph of the Hypo Giga can be spotted near the coastal lagoons of the island, feeding mostly on small herds of hadrosaur and sauropod. The creature will also occasionally prey on beached whales and can sometimes be seen lingering within the shallow tide pools to prey on marine life abandoned by sea."
