droplets sparkle on side mirrors
all the words in my head
wash away, one by one,
leave only a thin film of
half-formed ideas,
the ends of sentences,
an indelible, indefinite
sadness.
the grey and
green of the day
reflects watercolor
through rainwarped
windowpanes.
