"All magic comes with a price!"So, my newest obsession is with Once Upon a Time, specifically the incredibly creepy and alluring Rumpelstiltskin/Mr. Gold. I also really like the good and adorable Jiminy Cricket/Doctor Hopper, and hopefully I'll be drawing him sometime too.
His clothes were really fun to draw. I hardly ever put detail into clothes like that and it was SO fun! I also liked drawing his curly hair.
I blame this entirely on my cousin who introduced me to the show. "SARAH!!!!!"

I went through quite the OUaT kick recently, thanks to my Chaplain who introduced me to it.Β Of course, without cable access, I am forced to wait for the DVD to come out.

I found Rumple to be a very intriguing character. (I may or may not have found myelf calling people "Dearie" now and then, until the same Chaplain told me to stop because it creeped her out... Β ) I found it interesting that really no one in the show was simply evil. Cora was the closest thing to it, and even she had her strong points.

You could watch the online. That's what I do. 
Rumpel is indeed my favorite character, and I agree with you that it is most interesting that even he, the "dark one" is not entirely evil. I like that part about the show. I admit, I know very little about Cora as of yet, but so far I very much dislike her.
(Don't worry if you did that, so do I now and again! I did it once to a friend at church...

Rumpel is a very complex character. One moment you are angry at him, the next you love him, the next you're amazed by him, the next your disgusted by him, the next you're terrified by him, the next you admire him, and the next your crying for him! It's quite an emotional roller coaster!

Actually, he is very much like a spiked combination of Gollum and Loki... WOW! I never thought of that! :
Although, for me, I never really hoped deeply that Loki or Gollum would become good, but for me every single OUAT episode I'm hoping with all my heart that Rumpel might someday become good!

Yeah, I was kind of less sympathetic to Gollum than most people seemed to be, actually. And Loki, well, I didn't sympathize with him in the Avengers (he's craaaaaazy then!
