Description
The world is in chaos. The two sides in a grand war now are united against a common enemy. One neither of them had expected. A war general gone rouge. He had developed several names for himself. The Silent Death, The Deadly Shadow, or the one most called him, The Dark Angel. The fallen savior. One day he just snapped and began killing anyone with a miraculous, shattering them, and then collecting the shards, keeping them on him at all times. His friends, his family, everyone he knew, left behind for an unknown reason. The final battle is where our story begins.

Buildings burnt, homes destroyed, three warriors stand their ground.
"So its come to this has it?"
The Dark Angel spoke with an almost disappointed tone. The two in front of him were some of his best friends in childhood. It pained him to know that by the end of the night, someone was going to die.
"before we start this... why? why did you turn on everyone? Your friends... your wife, Vivi... your daughter..."
Chat could think of hundreds more but it brought him too much pain to continue.
"You could not understand, however i will leave you with this before we fight. The Miraculous are too dangerous. The kwami do not realize that they are just slaves to their master. Destroying the miraculous frees them. This was started because of miraculous. Now it will end because of a miraculous... and that stands whether i win or lose today."
The Dark Angels tone changed to an incredibly serious roar, his voice echoing through the ruined town.
"Don't you see you are the one who is causing the destruction?! Just stop and turn yourself in!"
Ladybugs patience was wearing thin.
"Calm little bug. I don't want my victory to be caused by your lack of focus."
"Do you think Kanniu would approve of this?"
"He is still young and knows not what is to come. Once the rest are free, I shall free him. Then he can be with the rest of his kind forever."
Memories of Kanniu, his kwami, surfaced. His smiling face, his positive attitude, his overall kindness. It caused The Dark Angel to hold back tears. He looked at Ladybug and Chat Noir.
"He is nothing but a tool for me. A means to an end."
He knew that this was a lie. Kanniu was so much more than just a tool. He was his closest friend and companion. He hasn't been able to look ad Kanniu in the eyes for weeks. not because he is disappointed, but because he doesn't think he deserves to see his smiling face, now more of a pained grimace, anymore.
"Enough talking. Further discussion will accomplish nothing. Frost, Crystal, we finish this today. Either I will fall to your combined might..."
He unsheathed his sword.
"Or you shall fall to my blade. Those are the only options before us today. Redemption is not an option. It hasn't been for quite some time."
"Fine. I was hoping you would come peacefully but if that is the case..."
Chat and Ladybug pulled out their baton and yoyo respectively,
"Then so be it."
"Just know that it pains us to do this, Rittsi."
'It pains me as well...'
Rittsi readied his blade, his form showing almost no flaws or openings. Truly the mark of a seasoned warrior. The three stood in silence for what felt like hours. A burning support beam falling signaled the beginning of their battle. Chat was immediately on the offensive, swinging his baton from the left. Rittsi quickly blocked and spread his wings, flying over their heads. Ladybug managed to grab his sword from his hand and get it on the other side of the battlefield. Any normal warrior would be useless without their weapon but Rittsi was no normal warrior. He picked up a burning pole, grimacing slightly at the pain, but quickly getting used to it. This would be his new weapon until he managed to get his sword back.
"Impressive. You managed to disarm me while i evaded. However, a real warrior doesn't need a weapon to be dangerous."
He began to swing the flaming pole at the two, not trying to hit them, but trying to clear a path. His plan worked and the two dodged to the sides. seeing an opening Rittsi ran past them to get his sword. just as he was about to grab it he felt something wrap around his ankle and pull him back.
"Got him!"
"Great aim!"
Rittsi was so close. His sword was now about his body length away. He wouldn't let victory this close get away from him. He reached forward and dug his fingers into the ground, pulling himself forward. Ladybug tried to keep him from moving but couldn't.
"C-chat! help!"
"I've got you my lady!"
Chat started pulling with Ladybug, pulling Rittsi back a bit.
"I... won't... lose... here!"
Rittsi started to pull himself forward again, surprising both of the heroes.
"How strong is he!"
"It's like he's beyond human! pull with everything you have!"
"Got it!"
Their efforts didn't help however. Rittsi was still pulling himself towards his sword. Once it was within reach he grabbed it and cut the yoyo from his ankle. He quickly stood up, panting.
"You could have done me in there you know... such shows of mercy will be your downfall."
"Well, we are trying to capture you."
Rittsi grew angry. After everything he had done they still show mercy?
"Then perhaps i should give you a reason to want to kill me... by killing your lady!"
Rittsi rushed forward, prepared for when Chat swung his baton at him. He blocked it and got into a duel with him. This wasn't anything new, but he did have a way to end this that he hadn't been able to use before. When blocking one of his swings he allowed the momentum to spin him around, and followed through. This sliced the baton in half with relative ease. without a weapon Chat Noir resorted to hand to hand combat, a fruitless effort. Rittsi was able to dodge every punch thrown at him before he kicked Chat in the gut, sending him into the side of a house. Without hesitation Rittsi resumed attacking Ladybug.
"L-Lucky cha-"
"not this time"
Rittsi grabbed her by the mouth and slammed her into another wall. He put his blade to her neck.
"This is the end. I will make sure Tikki is freed after this. Goodbye Crys-"
"NO! CATACLYSM!"
Chat noir pounced on Rittsi, hitting him with the cataclysm.
"Chat no!"
Rittsi dropped his sword and fell onto one knee. He clutched his gut as it writhed in pain.
"oh god... what have i-"
"no... you did the right thing... to be honest... I'm glad it came to this..."
Rittsi slid his miraculous, a golden bracelet, off his wrist, causing him to detransform.
"wait what are you-"
"Kanniu doesn't deserve to see me die like this... he's been though enough..."
Rittsi started coughing as his skin began to crack.
"R-Rittsi i didn't mean to-"
"I would have been mad... if you had showed me mercy still... mercy i... didn't deserve..."
"Don't say that! You could have been helped!"
Rittsi weakly looks up at Ladybug.
"look at me in the eyes... and tell me that after all I've done... i can still be forgiven..."
Ladybug as at a loss of words. She couldn't bring herself to say it.
"I thought so..."
Rittsi coughed blood onto the ground.
"Not much longer now... tell my family I'm sorry..." That was the last thing Rittsi was able to say before he collapsed on the ground before his body turned to ash, his armor clunking to the ground, and he felt the last bits of consciousness fade away.
